Denver, CO – 2023 — Rosie Riveters is thrilled to announce the continuation of our partnership with Mersive Technologies for the second consecutive year, aiming to inspire and empower young girls in STEM through hands-on learning experiences.
In August 2023, Mersive Technologies developed an innovative web application for our Harmonica project, enabling students to measure and visualize sound waves using a virtual sound meter. This interactive tool not only enhanced the learning experience but also introduced students to the professional audiovisual (Pro AV) industry.
Additionally, Mersive, in collaboration with the Colorado Women in AV/IT (COWAVIT) group, hosted a packing party where 500 Harmonica project kits were assembled for distribution to Aurora Public Schools in Colorado. These kits provided students with the materials to build their own harmonicas, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
This initiative is part of our broader mission to introduce girls to the Pro AV industry as a viable career path within STEM. By providing accessible and engaging learning opportunities, we aim to close the gender gap and encourage the next generation of women in technology.
