Funding to Support Expand Hands-On STEM Programs Nationwide
Rosie Riveters, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering kids in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), is honored to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of a 2025 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant. This unrestricted funding, totaling $40,000, was presented by NBC4 Washington and Telemundo 44 Washington to six local nonprofit organizations making a significant impact in the Washington, D.C. area as part of a broader campaign by Comcast NBCUniversal.
The 2025 grants aim to support nonprofits in three key areas: youth education and empowerment, next-generation storytellers, and community engagement. Rosie Riveters is proud to be recognized for its commitment to providing programming that builds confidence and helps young people explore STEM.
Rosie Riveters offers a range of programs designed to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among children aged 4–14 through productive struggle. Offering initiatives like Rosie Labs, STEM Kits & Events, Military Family Programs, and Rosie Innovators, the organization provides accessible and engaging STEM education that inspires participants to explore and pursue careers in science and technology.
With the support of the 2025 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant, Rosie Riveters will continue to empower kids to embrace challenges, develop a growth mindset, and become the innovators of tomorrow.
